Stuff for fun: More clothing redesigns! This is one for a costume. I did a recreation of a rockstar outfit from some anime artwork about a year ago. And while I dont like the book series that this is representing much (Kuroshitsuji), the outfit is a lot of fun to wear. So there should obviously be more of this fun.

And so a friend of mine decided I should design a companion outfit for her since the two characters come in a pair and yet he has no outfit of his own.

In the center is the original (tm) outfit that I recreated from the artwork.
The rest are my designs given to the character from the series (Soma).
They’re numbered by when I worked on them.

1 - inspired by the hairstyle
2- also digging the hair but too punkrock or girly
3- just right
4 - I really like it, more simple, but maybe too visual kei in style.
5- reminds me of the Soma’s original clothes. Might be too dressed down to go with the original’s sleek look.

Not bad for knowing NOTHING about rock-style clothing!
I’m voting on three and trying to convince myself its not because I gave it the silliest expression. But honestly I think its style is closest to the original while still being something I would do. I’ll do cleaner sketches of 3 and 4 sometime maybe.
